Photo cropping and resizing

Cropping for photo prints

Unfortunately photo prints are sized differently than your digital photos. Using the crop functions in CammyPlus let you decide which parts to cut off in order to get a compliant aspect ratio. Select the desired photo in single photo view and click on one of the 7x10, 9x13, 10x15, 13x18, 18x24, 20x30 buttons to start the cropping process. You may switch the display to inches by clicking on the Unit button.

The cross mouse cursor appears. Drag the rectangle to the size you need. CammyPlus will automatically retain the aspect ratio.

As soon as you realease the mouse button, the cursor changes to cross with four arrows. You may now move the rectangle to its final position. Clicking the right mouse button reverts to the previous mode, i.e. you can drag the rectangle's size again, which you do if you find that the rectangle's size was not appropriate.

After releasing the mouse button a second time, you are asked to confirm the cropping operation. The cropped image appears in full screen, and the photo has the proper aspect ratio.

If you don't need to keep a certain aspect ratio, you may use the Free Crop button instead. The cropping process itself stays the same.

Denoise

Often low-light shots have much noise in the picture, which is recognised like a kind of "snow". A click on the Denoise button reduces the noise; the image gets a little blurrier in this process.

Red Eyes Reduction

In Photos taken with flashlight sometimes the eyes are glaringly red. Click on the Red Eyes Reduction button, and the mouse cursor changes into a small eye symbol. Simply click on each red eye to remove the red eyes effect without destroying the shine in the eyes.

Resizing

You may resize to any resonable resolutions you like, i.e. you can either reduce or enlarge the photos selected. You can activate Keep Aspect Ratio to avoid image distortion. Enter the new size in the edit boxes and click on Resize. CammyPlus uses high-quality bicubic interpolation for best results. Please take care which photos you have selected to apply the changes.
